The Eastern Flank Institute will participate in the 8th edition of Defence24 Days 2026, which will take place on May 6–7 in Warsaw.
In the face of growing security challenges in the region, the EFI is actively engaging in the public debate on defense, presenting analyses and proposals for concrete solutions.
During the event, the Institute’s latest report, titled “WOT 2.0: The Return of Light Infantry to the Polish Armed Forces,” will be presented. It summarizes the first decade of the Territorial Defense Forces’ operations and identifies key challenges and directions for the formation’s further development. The media patron of the report is the Defence24 portal (in Polish).
The Institute of the Eastern Flank’s participation in the conference program includes:
- a panel discussion titled “Russia’s Long War – Projection of Force Against Europe” – featuring, among others, Michał Dworczyk, Chairman of the IWF Program Council – May 6, 2:30 p.m.,
- a presentation of the report “WOT 2.0. The Return of Light Infantry to the Polish Armed Forces” featuring Institute experts (including Grzegorz Matyasik and Dr. Przemysław Wywiał) – May 6, 4:00 PM,
- a panel discussion titled “The Consequences of the War in Ukraine for European Security,” to be moderated by EFI Director Piotr Woyke. The discussion will open with a speech by Gen. Valeriy Zaluzhny, Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom and former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – May 7, 10:15 a.m.
