Polish Drone Army – a new report with the participation of the EFI

The Eastern Flank Institute participated in a special edition of the “SprawdzaMY” initiative, dedicated to the development of the Polish drone sector.

The unmanned revolution has accelerated significantly in recent years, and Poland is not at a disadvantage in this game. Drones are no longer just one of the tools used in security operations. They are realistically changing the battlefield and crisis management. Poland needs coordinated action and facilitation for the drone sector to keep up with these changes.

The Entrepreneurship Support Foundation project brought together an interdisciplinary team of experts representing analytical centers (including the Eastern Flank Institute), academia, the defense industry, the new technologies sector, and law firms.

The result of this joint effort is a report entitled “Polish Drone Army” (in Polish) which includes, among other things:

  • an assessment of the Polish drone ecosystem;
  • an analysis of wartime experiences (2022–2025);
  • guidelines for production, communications, AI, and C-UAS;
  • legislative, strategic, and technological recommendations.

The report was prepared as part of the “SprawdzaMy” initiative, which supports the creation of regulations, analyses, and recommendations based on expert knowledge and cross-sector cooperation. The aim of the initiative is to bring about real change – change that affects Poland’s security, economy, and technological development. We have created this document to support decision-makers, the military, industry, and business in building Poland’s technological advantage.
